What is Roamavo?
Roamavo is a travel eSIM service that helps you buy mobile data for international trips without swapping physical SIM cards.
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into compatible phones, tablets, and watches. It lets you install a mobile data plan using a QR code or setup instructions.
How does Roamavo work?
Choose your destination, pick a data plan, verify your account, complete checkout, then install your eSIM from the email or dashboard.
Do I need a physical SIM card?
No. Roamavo eSIM plans are installed digitally on compatible unlocked devices.
Can I buy before I travel?
Yes. We recommend buying and installing your eSIM before departure while you have stable Wi-Fi.
Device Compatibility
How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?
Check our supported devices page, then confirm in your phone settings that eSIM or Add eSIM is available.
Does my phone need to be unlocked?
Yes. A carrier-locked phone may not accept travel eSIMs from another provider.
Can I use Roamavo on tablets or smartwatches?
Some tablets and watches support eSIM, but most Roamavo plans are designed for phones. Check your exact model first.
Can I install the same eSIM on two devices?
No. One eSIM profile is normally installed on one device only.
Buying a Plan
How do I choose the right plan?
Pick based on trip length and expected use. Maps and messaging need less data, while streaming and remote work need more.
How many eSIMs should I buy?
Buy one eSIM for each traveler or device that needs its own data connection.
Can I change my plan after purchase?
Plan changes depend on whether the eSIM has already been issued, installed, or used. Contact support with your order email.
Are taxes or fees included?
Checkout will show the final amount before payment. We do not hide roaming fees inside the plan.
Installing Your eSIM
When should I install my eSIM?
Install it before travel on Wi-Fi, then turn on the Roamavo data line when you arrive.
Where do I find my QR code?
Your QR code and setup details are sent by email and shown in your Roamavo dashboard.
Can I delete and reinstall my eSIM?
Usually no. Many eSIM profiles can only be installed once. Do not delete it unless support tells you to.
Do I need Wi-Fi to install?
Yes. Use a stable Wi-Fi connection to download and activate the eSIM profile.
Activation & Data Usage
When does my plan start?
Most plans start when the eSIM connects to a supported network in the destination. Some provider rules may vary by plan.
How can I track data usage?
Your dashboard shows remaining data. Your phone settings may also show usage for the Roamavo line.
What happens when data runs out?
Data may stop or slow down depending on the plan. We plan to support top-ups where the provider allows them.
Can I use hotspot?
Most plans allow hotspot when the destination network supports it. Any restriction should be shown before checkout.
Coverage & Network
Which countries are covered?
Roamavo supports many destinations. Use the Destinations page to check the country you need.
Which network will I connect to?
Your eSIM connects to local partner networks in the destination. The available network can vary by area and signal quality.
Does Roamavo support 5G?
Many plans support 4G/5G where available, depending on your device, location, and local network coverage.
Will it work in rural areas?
Coverage depends on local partner networks. Cities and popular travel routes usually have stronger service than remote areas.
Calls, SMS & WhatsApp
Do Roamavo plans include calls or SMS?
Most Roamavo plans are data-only. You can use apps like WhatsApp, iMessage, FaceTime, Telegram, maps, and email over data.
Can I keep my WhatsApp number?
Yes. Keep your regular SIM active for your phone number and use Roamavo for mobile data.
Can I receive bank verification SMS?
If your primary SIM remains active and roaming for SMS is allowed by your carrier, you may still receive messages on that line.
Can I make phone calls?
You can use internet calling apps over data. Traditional phone calls are not included in data-only eSIM plans.
Troubleshooting
My eSIM is not connecting. What should I do?
Check that data roaming is enabled for the Roamavo line, your device is unlocked, and you are in the covered destination.
I cannot scan the QR code.
Open the QR code on another screen or use manual installation details if available. Make sure your camera can clearly read it.
Why is my internet slow?
Speed depends on local network conditions, coverage, congestion, device model, and whether you have reached a plan usage limit.
I deleted my eSIM by mistake.
Contact support immediately. Some eSIMs cannot be reissued after deletion, but we will check what is possible.
Payments & Refunds
Which payment methods do you accept?
We plan to support major card payments and common digital wallets. Available methods will be shown at checkout.
Can I get a refund?
Refund eligibility depends on whether the eSIM was installed, activated, used, expired, or affected by a confirmed service issue.
Why was my payment declined?
Check your card details, bank approval, billing country, and available balance. If it continues, try another payment method.
Where can I find my receipt?
Receipts and order details will be available in your dashboard and sent to your email.
Account & Support
Do I need an account?
Yes. Your account helps you access your eSIM, installation details, usage, and order history.
Can I update my name or email?
You can update account details from the dashboard profile page. Some email changes may require verification.
How do I contact support?
Use the Contact Us page or the support form inside your dashboard. Include your order email, destination, and device model.
How do I log out?
Use Log out from the dashboard sidebar or profile menu.
Business & Group Travel
Can I buy eSIMs for a group?
Yes. You can choose the number of eSIMs during checkout. Each traveler should receive their own installation details.
Do you support business travel?
Roamavo can support teams that need simple travel data. Contact us with destination, quantity, and timing.
Can I get an invoice?
Invoices and receipts will be available once payments are live. Contact support for business billing needs.
Affiliate Program
Does Roamavo have an affiliate program?
Yes. Creators, publishers, and travel websites can apply to promote Roamavo and earn commission.
How much can affiliates earn?
